Personal Projects, Prototypes & Hobbies

Here are some of my personal projects, prototypes and hobbies.

Inventing and creating things for everyday use is a passion of mine.

Designed and built a set of custom crutches for a friend with all heavy duty parts and stainless steel components.

I created my first invention in high school and finally received the patent during college. But, I was swept aside by large, established companies in manufacturing and sales through patent flooding and lost the race to market. It was a tough life lesson, and a good first attempt.

This was my first skateboard modification project.

Designed and built shark fin brakes for emergency stops.

This 6 wheel board with dual axles was a fun project to build and is even more fun to ride.

The motor swap was not an easy undertaking, but it works very well.

Key organizer with spinning center bearing and switch-blade key function.

Designed and built a two wheel "skateboard." Calling it the Bat-Tron for now.

The gravity slide steering mechanism is pretty tricky. It over steers or under responds, so its still a work in progress. I believe this is a unique invention.

Built a set of collapsible handlebars for training purposes. (Don't call it a scooter.)

Here are a couple alternative skateboard truck mechanisms I was inspired to design.

This is the beginnings of a design I have been working on for an electric powered, tracked vehicle. As you can see, its still a work in progress. Intended use is for both recreational and utility purposes such as an off-road medical stretcher, construction site mule, or just for fun.

These are most of the skateboards and electric skateboards I have built, ride and maintain. I enjoy refurbishing old decks and tend to swap hardware and rebuild each setup occasionally.

More to come :)
